Building an Economy that Works for Everyone

Ways to Support Us

Your support powers our work- and there are so many ways to make an impact! Without you, we couldn’t do the research, analysis, and advocacy to make Washington State a more equitable place to live and work. Together, we can build an economy that works for everyone.

Donate

EOI thrives with support from equity-minded people like you! Your generosity allows us to develop research and policy solutions that lift up Washington’s most vulnerable communities. Make your tax-deductible gift today, and be a part of our community of donors!

Donate Stock

Donating stock is one of the most tax-efficient ways to give, making sure that more of your gift goes directly toward EOI’s work building a more just economy. Transferring stock electronically is the easiest way to make a stock gift. Provide your broker with the following information, and don’t hesitate to reach out to Development Director, Jayanthi Ragubathi at jayanthi@opportunityinstitute.org with any questions!

Recipient name: Economic Opportunity Institute
Receiving account: #2037-1408
Custodian: Seattle First Asset Management, LLC
Brokerage firm DTC number: 0075
Tax ID Number (EOI): 91-1999302

Rollover your IRA withdrawal to EOI

Many people find that they don’t need the funds from their mandatory IRA withdrawals. If this is you, you can direct your withdrawal to EOI and advance economic equity without increasing your taxable income. Taxes are not owed on IRA rollovers to nonprofits, so the nonprofit receives the full withdrawal amount. You can make this decision year-by-year, ensuring that your needs are met first. To initiate an IRA rollover, contact your bank or fund manager.

Become a Monthly Donor

A growing number of our donors are choosing to maximize their impact and spread their support over time by giving monthly or quarterly. Monthly donors provide us the stable funding we need to pursue long-term project while reducing our administrative costs. You can scale your gift to fit your budget and you’ll receive special recognition at our Annual Dinner! Sign up for your recurring gift today!

Make a Planned Gift

Make the most of your dollars while leaving a legacy of equity and opportunity through a planned gift. Giving through your estate is flexible, impactful, and ensures that the work you care about will continue in perpetuity. Get in touch with Jayanthi at jayanthi@opportunityinstitute.org or click here for more information about planned giving.
